My dream, My future

#YOLO
YOLO or You Only Live Once reminds us that everyone has only one life. God has given it to every creature which must be used in good things and to the fullest.
“You Only Live Once.” So everybody has the option on how to make us of his life. He has all the chances to take advantage of it for if it lost or gone, everything is gone, nothing is left.
As a child, son or daughter, doing all the duties and responsibilities to our parents and to our family would be a good practice to show that we value time and life given to us. For we may not be given the chance when life is taken away by the giver. Maximize time. Give the best effort. All this mean using life efficiently and effectively for others. Make others be satisfied by our actions for we may not give the satisfaction that they desire when life is gone.
As a student, one has to take all the chances to develop hi skills, talents and expertise. One has to dig all the possibilities to store knowledge, ideas, information and concepts. He has to take all chances to develop himself into a productive individual. Time and life is unpredictable so one has to take steps for living a wholesome life in order to become a worthy citizen in the future. One has to reach his goals and aspirations in life for time lost will not be regained. Make life the most of it before it’s too late.
As a citizen of the country, one has to be very conscious of doing things as to wither they are good or bad. Being a steward of our nature means repaying the life given to us by the Creator. Being a good Samaritan to the needy, helpless, less fortunate is a good avenue of living life in a useless way. Being aware the country’s problems and contributing even just a little mean using life essentially.
As a person, taking care of one’s self in all aspects displays a great importance of life. It shows that we are grateful with this precious gift. Use life productively to sustain and maintain its stability. Life is sacred so it must be respected. Do not use and overuse it. Live life in accordance to God’s will. Live to make life exciting, wonderful, useful and fruitful.
“You only live once.” Do all the significant things now, for there will be no second life on earth. Make life a precious one. Take care of it for if it is gone, it will not come back to us.

CHANGE!

"Some people spend their lives doing the same things and avoiding change. Other, however, think that change is always a good thing. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion."

My whole life, I have been presented to a single element called change. Change occurs in many different forms and is carried out in many different ways. However, just recently, I have come to the realization that change can be the deepest of all subjects. I always assumed that change occured when you moved to a new town or when you lost someone close to you. Those are elements to change, yes, but change doesn't have to occur over a single dramatic event. It can just happen overnight when your brain determines it's time to do something different.

The people who are in favor of bringing changes in their life argue that change is very important to break the monotony of life. They further argue that an order to swiftly excel in your career and financial status, change is inevitable. All the advancements in technology have been achieved through bringing a change. From the marketing point of view, in order to boost the sale of a product, the best way is to bring the changes in the shape and specifications. So change, such as in your company or professional status, brings the diversity, flexibility and financial growth in the life on an individual.

It's dangerous to try to stop change and argue against it, especially if the person wants to change so much. The reason that somebody wants to change is usually not their choice, but a feeling that the person feels inside their head and heart. It's almost like a celestial force is making you change and you have no say in the matter but you know you have to because your mental and physical attributes are commanding you to. Maybe the change isn't the best change, but if you dig deeper, the person that you love and know isn't really changing, they are just trying to find themselves and the one thing they need the most is the support of the people who they care about the most. When the people they care about the most dismiss their change as something unimportant and try to guard down everything by rules and regulations, the person they loved begins to change out of sadness that the one group of people he or she thought would understand, really has no clue. Maybe change isn't always good or bad, like I was saying before, but it could be looked at as something to help you grow. So just remember..if someone is changing, be there for them, offer your their opinion but help them go through whatever they need to go through because they will do what they need to do regardless of the people that they really do love.

KANNAWIDAN

Ilocos Sur has a rich heritage and unique culture that are to be preserved for the next generations because it is observed that many of these traditions, songs, dances and other Ilocano culture are not familiar to the younger generations already. Children of today are paying more attention to the modern and novelty dances they seen on the television than the traditional ones. There is also a need to evaluate the different products of the different municipalities and the agricultural products and livestock of the farmers and fisher folks. Because of this, the provincial government of Ilocos Sur conceived a festival that will highlight these culture and traditions and attract local and foreign tourists as well. They call it the KANNAWIDAN Ylocos Festival, it is also a time to commemorate the anniversary of Ilocos Sur as a province since it was separated on February 3, 1818.
The celebration was opened by a celebrated mass held at the St. Paul Metropolitan Cathedral followed by a procession of the patron saints of the 40 parishes and images of Jesus Christ and Virgin Mary around the province’s capital city. This shows the deep rooted religiosity of the Ilocanos. Rev. Fr. Roque Reyes who officiate the mass articulated in his homily that this festivity is the time to thank the Almighty not only for the abundance He showered for the province but also the rich heritage of the place including the strong ties among the Ilocano families.
The Bayanihan Dance Company treated the Ilocanos with their world class performance of the Beauty of the Philippines through dances, music and sounds. They amazed the audience by their graceful movements and excellent rendition of songs and playing the indigenous musical instruments.

NEW YEAR NEW ME

When the new year comes around it seems like the perfect time for self-improvement.Even though I’ve always failed my New Year’s resolutions, every year I promise myself that this time will be different. I’ve tried everything from being a vegetarian to starting my homework earlier to giving up Facebook. Each time after about a month (at most) I’ve given up. Why do I even bother? I don’t feel that bad when I break my resolutions but sometimes I wish I could do better.
In 2010, I tried something that didn’t require giving up food because I knew depriving myself of my favorite foods would be too hard. I promised to do my homework before Sunday night. As a freshman that year, I always waited to start my homework until Sunday evening or even Monday morning and often got incompletes on my homework. My parents were not too thrilled. So for my resolution I tried doing my homework during lunch the day it was assigned or as soon as I got home on Fridays.
But about two weeks after school started, I realized doing my homework at lunch wasn’t a great idea because I always got distracted by all the fun I thought I was missing. I ended up with my book open but talking to my friends. Then about a month into the new year, I started hanging out on Friday nights and not doing my homework. After that I tried getting up on a Saturday morning and hitting the books, but I ended up reading the same line over and over. I was bored and felt like I had something better to do. After I answered one question, I would check my phone or send a text. This made homework take much longer and I eventually got bored and stopped. After that I went back to doing my homework on Sunday nights.

ESSENSE OF CHRISTMAS

Have you ever asked children what Christmas means to them?
Why do they like this holiday more than any other holiday? Depending on their age the answers can be surprising. And this would be the time to explain why we have such a wonderful holiday.
Not because of the decorations, all the parties, Santa Claus and the numerous other events going on, but the REAL meaning of the birth of the Christ Child. You will notice that in the above I didn't mention presents. There are those who believe that is all the Christmas means to some people and quite so, but I like to think it's because the three Wise Men brought gifts to the baby Jesus and that is how gifts became one of the symbols of Christmas. However our belief is, the holiday is worldwide and many people celebrate Christmas in one form or another.
But who can ignore the beautiful music at this time of year, the choirs, concerts, symphonies, musicals, ballet, TV specials, kiddies TV specials and all the merriment that takes place? To see the children eagerly awaiting their seat on Santa's lap to tell him what they want to see under their tree.
Driving along highways, through communities and around your own community to see how folks have decked out their lawns, homes and commercial places for the holidays. Take time to do this, if you haven't caught the Christmas spirit yet, seeing all of the unique splendor and colorful lights has to help you feel the tempo going on around you. Playing some Christmas music in your home while wrapping presents can also make you appreciate the wonderful season.

REFLECTION

Life is full of possibilities. However, as man grows older, those possibilities begin to drop off. Now, another possibility of my life has come to an end. Life is not monotonous because it changes. There is time for everything
Each class is different. Some are solemn and just no fun. Some have spirit and seem alive.
Riiiing! Eleven to twelve. ICT time. Part of everyday life is to met new friends and build positive relationships no matter what the activity or venue may be. In school, every school year, you will also meet new teachers. In here, every person feel appreciated. So this is the best way in communicating by individualizing the attention. ICT has a good classroom management presupposes mutual understanding between our teacher and we the students. She's not only aware of what she teaches, but of what we expect from her and what kind of treatment we will be receiving to make the teaching and learning environment sound and orderly.

Means challenging tasks and responsibilities! I have also encountered a lot of problems to complete all the activities or requirements. Sometimes, I need to adjust on what I used to do.

Moving on to the next level, I will make it different that before. I will surely did my best to achieve my goals in this subject.

INSIGHTS

Rich ideas and insights are stored in the mind. Meaningful feelings and emotions are implanted in the hearts of humans. These become so significant if they flow freely. Outpouring what is in the heart and mind makes our place so wonderful and progressive. But how?

Literary and English proficiency are great tools to out pour what one wants to express to others. Scribbling one’s thoughts, ideas and opinions serves as a way to communicate with others. Speaking out well through English language brings about better understanding among individuals.

At times, people tend to keep what is inside the heart. Much as they desire to act it out, circumstances hinder them from doing it. But how much they hide these precious feelings, ways and means is at hand that allow them to flow or pour them out. Through writing, on literacy, people can extend what they feel.

Many times, people are hesitant to speak out what is in their imaginative and creative minds. There are barriers that block them from telling verbally what they think are helpful and useful to mankind. Through literacy, one can write what he thinks good for others. One can share bright ideas which are of great benefit to his community and the nation at large.
Many too are good if not excellent speakers and communicators. People love so much expressing their thoughts and ideas. English proficiency is the ability to speak or perform in English language is a strong avenue in outpouring the minds and hearts. It is a sharp instrument that allows ideas and feelings to flow out freely.

Being literate, fluent and proficient may lead to progress and development. Improved literacy may contribute o economic growth. It reduces poverty and crime. Promotion of democracy is of great chance. Increased civic engagement and enhancement of cultural diversity may greatly result. Increased education, self-esteem, confidence and empowerment are also significant benefits of literacy and English proficiency. These benefits are enjoyed because of available reading materials utilized by the individual. Through information provision, people are given chances of great and effective learning.

Truly, literacy and English proficiency are bridges and roads that reach out and link what are in one’s mind and heart to others. These may eventually branch out to better understanding reaching a high level of progress and development.
